BAITED HOOKS WHILST FISHING

Posted by David Walker on November 27, 2020 at 12:10 PM Comments comments (0)

ALL MEMBERS TO NOTE PLEASE.

Yesterday, 26th November 2020, an Angler left a baited hook on a bench at the poolside and a park members dog ate and swallowed the bait and the hook. This caused the park member some great distress and he was subsequently faced with a large vets bill to get the hook removed from the dogs stomach.

Can you all please be considerate of this and do not leave any baited hooks unattended where any dog or other animal/bird can get at it. There are always park members walking their dogs in the park so please be aware of this issue and keep your baited hooks clear and out of the way.

Thanks.

THE PASSING OF BARRY CHEAPE.

Posted by David Walker on April 2, 2020 at 12:30 PM Comments comments (2)

Hi All.           PLEASE NOTE - It is with great sadness that I have to advise you that Club Member Barry Cheape passed away yesterday afternoon. Barry had been battling stomach cancer for some time and sadly finally lost his battle. Barry was a great club member and was liked by all. I have spoken with his daughter Lucy and I am sure we can do something to remember him later in the year when things are back to normal. A sad loss to all. R.I.P.Barry.
